Kowa 40X Spotting Scope Eyepiece Fits Screw-In Vixen/Bushnell/Celestron/Tasco

Very difficult to find high-magnification eyepiece for older Kowa spotting scopes e. Magnification: 40X with TS-1 or TS-2, 32X with TS-3 scope.

Eye relief is not overly generous (we estimate 13-15 mm); eyeglass wearers, please take note of that. This eyepiece also fits many older Vixen scopes e.

50/60S, 45-degree 60S, R-60S, Japanese-made Tasco scopes, and older scopes made by Vixen for Celestron (SS50, SS60) and Bushnell e. Spacemaster I and II, all of which share the same M28 x 0.75 thread (see Kowa/Vixen thread comparison in photos). Usage tip: Eyepiece magnification is calculated by dividing the focal length of the optical system by the focal length of the eyepiece. As this eyepiece provides 40X magnification with the TS-1 or TS-2, which have a focal length of 420mm, it can be deduced that the focal length of the eyepiece is 10.5mm i.
