The redesigned Diamondback HD spotting scope has all the optical horsepower the western hunter needs, and excels in low light. It features a streamlined exterior for a sleeker profile and a built-in helical focus wheel for fast and fine adjustments.
HD optical system delivers exceptional resolution, cuts chromatic aberration and provides outstanding color fidelity, edge-to-edge sharpness and light transmission. Multiple anti-reflective coatings on all air-to-glass surfaces increase light transmission. Adjustable eyecups twist up and down for comfortable viewing with or without eyeglasses. The built-in sunshade reduces glare and shields the objective lens from raindrops and snow. The scope is tripod adaptable allowing use on a tripod or car window mount. Arca-Swiss compatibility allows it to be mounted to Arca-Swiss tripod heads without using additional plates. Also accepts 1/4-20 threads for use on alternate style tripod heads. O-ring sealed and argon purged, the scope delivers waterproof and fogproof performance.Armortek coatings protect the lenses from oil, scratches, and dirt. How to Use The Diamondback HD Spotting Scope. Before attaching the eyepiece, remove any covers that would interfere with attaching the eyepiece to the spotting scope body. To attach the eyepiece, insert the eyepiece into the body and rotate clockwise using the ribbed ring on the eyepiece until the eyepiece is tight (stops rotating). To detach the eyepiece, hold the ribbed ring and turn the eyepiece counterclockwise. Change your spotting scopes magnification by simply turning the magnification adjustment ring. Increase the magnification by turning the adjustment ring clockwise. Decrease the magnification by turning the adjustment ring counterclockwise. The tripod mount collar allows you to rotate the spotting scope body for greater flexibility. Loosen the mounting collar by turning the thumbscrew counterclockwise. Rotate the spotting scope body to the viewing angle you prefer. Keep the spotting scope in the preferred viewing position by turning the thumbscrew clockwise to secure the mounting collar. For the steadiest views, mount the Diamondback HD on a sturdy tripod or car window mount. The built-in tripod mount easily attaches to most tripods and quick-release plates. After changing the magnification, some refocusing is usually required.Turn the focus dial to adjust the fine focus. This fine focusing does more than allow you to see critical details: A well-focused image also ensures fatigue-free viewing.
