From the research I have done I can not find anything on Pecar Berlin making spotting scopes. It is very clear to look through.

I have not attempted cleaning or any restoration. The front lens does have some marks on it not sure if it's glue or small cracks but it does not affect the view. Please see all pictures and message me with any questions. Or if you have any info of this scope.

I did receive a message from an avid collector of 25 years. They were very knowledgeable and this is what they had to say. Hello, Pecar-Berlin manufactured spotting scopes and prismatic binoculars in the early to mid-1960's.

One exclusive distributor in the United States was Charles Leavell of Sumter, South Carolina and there were a small number of others that catered to the US market. The spotting scope depicted is also a 25x56, with yours being only the second one I've encountered in 25 years of collecting. The binoculars are 6x30 (L) and 7x59 (R). Marketing brochures suggest that additional models were available in: 8x30, 8x40 and 10x45. As you may be already know, the firm of Pecar-Berlin ceased operations in 2006. Today, there is growing interest among enthusiasts and collectors alike for the product line which started in the mid-late 1930's. Thank you so much to this collector and hope I hope this helps you decide to add this to your collection.
