This listing is for a rare Military Steiner Spotting Observation Scope. The optics are 24x80 and these are no longer manufactured by Steiner due to how expensive they were to make. Used by Special Forces and Elite units.
The spotting scope has a green rubber waterproof and shock proofing that has some minor cracking from drying. Comes with the original 80mm dust cap. Used military telescope from Steiner 24x80. Steiner is world renown for performance optics. These scopes were very expensive to manufacture so Steiner stopped production on this high quality military spotting scope and now they are very hard to find. Great for bird watchers, hunters, target shooters, reconnaissance and amateur astronomers. The large 80mm diameter objective lens makes it extremely bright in low-light conditions, and has very highest resolution with 24X magnification. Features include a durable military rubber armor coating and a tripod mount and flexible rubber eyepiece. You can use this telescope for astronomic viewing or for viewing at the dawn or in bad weather conditions.
The lens is free from fogging, fungus and scratches with a sharp view. The telescope is used and the cosmetic condition reflects this - see the photos.
