Unertl 24x63 Spotting Scope, Still in the Box, Possibly Unused (#6480X)

A new-looking, possibly unused, Unertl 24x63 spotting scope in the original box. The scope body doesn't have the usual marks and scuffed paint from a saddle mount or clamp that's used to attach the scope to a stand or tripod. The prism housing has two small spots of paint missing on the sharp edges.

See photos 4, 5, and 6. The ocular lens cover has two tiny specks of paint missing. The sliding sunshade moves smoothly.

When extended, there's no marks visible on the exposed black anodized finish. The narrow front edge of the sunshade shows some paint wear where the screw-in lens cover touches. The serrated edge of the objective lens cover has some shiny spots where the anodizing is worn or didn't take. The threads for both lens covers are clean. I see no signs of cleaning and no fingerprints or other marks.

The ocular slides and rotates smoothly. The lenses show no signs of separation and there's nothing rattling to indicate anything is loose.

The boxes are in good condition. The kraft wrapping paper is present but the instruction sheet isn't here. The scope weighs 2.3 lb and is 16 inches long. An uncommon opportunity to get a highly regarded spotting scope that remains as-new.
