Vixen Geoma II ED52-S Spotting Scope Set (18053) Made in Japan

Ultracompact, lightweight ED spotting scope from one of Japan's premium optics makers. Both scope and eyepiece are made in Japan.

Objective diameter, 52 mm; focal length, 278 mm (f/5.3). Scope dimensions: length, 177 mm retracted, 217 mm extended; weight, 486 g / 17 oz.

Scope foot is threaded for attachment to standard 1/4-20 photo tripod. Please note: Scope must be used with objective barrel extended (otherwise eyepieces won't reach focus). With the objective barrel retracted, it can fit in a large coat pocket.

Usage tips: The included GLH20D eyepiece provides very pleasing widefield views at a magnification of 14x, but this is not the best scope/eyepiece combo for long-range and/or very high-power viewing. However, with a close focus distance of only 4 meters (about 12 feet), this setup excels as a highly portable, quick-deploy system for relatively close-in birdfeeder/backyard or trailside viewing of nature.
